Founded in Los Altos de Jalisco in 1937, G4 tequila is a family business that has been around for four generations. Nowadays, Felipe Camarena and his sons, Luis Felipe and Alan work hard to keep that tradition alive, combining it with heritage and ingenuity. The rich agave fields are next to citrus and cherry orchards, where the all-surrounding abundance of rich soil offers the agave plant all the necessary ingredients to grow and prosper. Almost all of the tequila from G4 is typically fermented solely in stainless steel tanks. That is until Fermentada De Madera Blanco Tequila came along\u2014an intriguing release where the distillery used wooden vats for fermentation. The result is an energetic tequila with creamy agave and mint flavors bottled at 45% ABV.<\/p>\n

The story of G4 Tequila started in 1937 when the Camarena family first started making tequila. The Jalisco Highlands in Mexico are the tequila capital of the world and the name Camarena counts among the most illustrious in the spirit’s rich history. After working with his brother Carlos for years, the fourth-generation tequilero (G4) Felipe Camarena decided to open his own distillery in 2011 and the Destiler\u00eda El Pandillo was born. Named after his grandfather’s favorite bull, the distillery proudly displays the old tahona stone from the family distillery that burnt down during the Mexican Revolution \u2014 before it even became operational. <\/p>\n
